Hand of the Cook Commercial Kitchen is a shared kitchen located in downtown Lubbock created for growing food businesses of all shapes and sizes. It is our mission to help you fulfill your dreams for culinary greatness by providing a fully licensed commercial kitchen available when YOU need it!
Whether you are just starting out, and everyone has told you that what you make needs to be in stores, or you are a seasoned chef/cook that wants to continue your culinary adventure, without the high overhead of a brick and mortar – we are here to help! Hand of the Cook’s mission is to help people who want to start a food business or grow their already successful food venture.
Connected to the Social House Venue & Event Center you have the added benefit of offering a venue to your clients for 16 to 250 people, hosting your own cooking class or having a small intimate pop-up dinner.

Ghost (also known as Cloud Kitchens) are food prep operations with no waiters, no dining room and no parking lot – really, no public presence whatsoever. But on food delivery apps, they're alive and well. In short, ghost kitchens are physical spaces for operators to create food for off-premises consumption. Hand of the Cook is the perfect kitchen to house your Ghost/Cloud kitchen with easy access for delivery apps and a service window for takeout. Let us talk you through it!

Hand of the Cook is home to 3 manufacturing entities with more coming online weekly! If you have something you would like to sell on the internet or through a grocery store, you will need a commercial kitchen along with your manufacturing permit. We can help walk you through the process. We have been in your shoes!

Would you like to teach a class on those magic pies you make or the bread that people drool over? Rent the kitchen and be the next Ina Garten (because who doesn’t love Ina!) We will be happy to help you figure out the logistics and market it through our online presence.
